Dopo l'ottimo secondo posto di Gerhard Kerschbaumer fra gli U23, il TX Active-Bianchi è stato protagonista a lungo anche fra gli Elite, nella seconda prova della Coppa del Mondo Mtb disputata a Dalby Forest (Gran Bretagna) domenica 22 maggio. Il francese Stephane Tempier è stato infatti nelle prime posizioni per gran parte della gara, prima di cedere negli ultimi due giri e chiudere all'11° posto. Tempier si era già classificato ottavo nella prova inaugurale del challenge UCI, a Pietermaritzburg, in Sudafrica.

Più indietro Tony Longo e Cristian Cominelli. I due sono giunti l'uno dopo l'altro, lontano dalle posizioni che contano, con una condotta di gara differente. Longo ha infatti concluso in calando, Cominelli - al debutto stagionale in Coppa del Mondo - ha recuperato nell'ultima parte di gara. Sabato 28 e domenica 29 maggio il TX Active-Bianchi sarà impegnato nella terza prova a Offenburg (Germania), con Kerschbaumer che cercherà la rivincita sull'austriaco Gehbauer, vincitore a Dalby Forest e appaiato all'italiano in vetta alla classifica generale.

World Cup XCO: brave Tempier’s escape impressed
After Gerhard Kerschbaumer’s great performance in the World Cup debut race in Pietermaritzburg (South Africa), runner-up in U23 series, TX Active-Bianchi was again in the spotlights in the Elite race, at World Cup XCO stage-2 in Dalby Forest (UK), on Sunday, May 22nd. French Stephane Tempier was leading the race a long time until giving up in last two laps: on the finish line, he was 11th (in South Africa, he had placed 8th).

No glory for Tony Longo and Cristian Cominelli. Italian riders crossed the finish line faraway from the top positions. Longo closed his race falling off, whilst Cominelli – at his World Cup’s seasonal debut – recovered many positions in last laps. On Saturday-Sunday, May 28th-29th, TX Active-Bianchi team will run in the World Cup XCO stage3 in Offenburg (Germany), where Kerschbaumer looks forward a revenge on Austrian Gehbauer, winner of Dalby Forest’s race and overall U23 leader together with Italian rider himself.
