Stephane Tempier è salito sul podio ai “Championnats de France VTT 2011”, i campionati francesi di mountain bike disputati sabato 16 luglio a Méribel, sulle Alpi. L’atleta della TX Active-Bianchi si è classificato terzo alle spalle del favorito Julien Absalon e di Maxime Marotte, nonostante un po’ di sfortuna e una disattenzione. La gara di Tempier è stata infatti condizionata da due cadute: una al primo giro, che lo ha costretto a rimontare sulla coppia di testa Absalon-Marotte. L’altra nel terzo passaggio, quando Tempier è stato raggiunto da Marotte, scivolando dalla seconda alla terza posizione. A nulla è servita la generosa, ma incompleta rimonta finale. ENGLISH VERSION Stephane Tempier took third at XC French Championships TX Active-Bianchi’s Stephane Tempier clinched podium at XC French championships in Méribel (on Alps) on Saturday, July 16th. Felice Gimondi team’s rider was 3rd in back of the front-runner Julien Absalon and Maxime Marotte, despite of a mix of bad luck and distraction. Tempier’s race was conditioned by two falls. The first one, in the opening lap, forced him to go up the leading pair Absalon-Marotte. The second one, in the third lap, made Tempier slip from second to third position. In the last part of the race, he recovered some seconds to Marotte, but not enough to try to overtake him.
