 Tre buoni piazzamenti per gli atleti della TX Active-Bianchi in gara domenica 24 luglio fra Italia e Portogallo. Tony Longo si è classificato terzo e Cristian Cominelli quarto nella 14ma Lissinia Bike a Sega di Ala (Trento). Ricardo Marinheiro è stato il migliore fra gli U23 e quinto assoluto nella “XCO Cup Oliveira de Azeméis”, nella omonima località nel nord del Portogallo. Gara da protagonista per Tony Longo, fra i migliori sin dalle prime pedalate della corsa trentina, disputata su un percorso di 43 km con un dislivello totale di 1.400 metri. Il portacolori della TX Active-Bianchi è transitato fra i primi sul Monte Cornetto, assieme a Yader Zoli, con il quale ha fatto coppia sino a 500 metri dall’arrivo, quando i due hanno pagato il ritorno di Michele Casagrande, vincitore della corsa. Alla fine, Longo è giunto a 12 secondi dal veneto e a 3 da Zoli, conquistando un buon terzo posto. Bravo anche Cristian Cominelli, giunto ai piedi del podio. Buone notizie anche dallo Junior Team: il direttore tecnico della nazionale, Hubert Pallhuber, ha convocato gli allievi Federico Barri e Chiara Teocchi e l'esordiente Giorgio Rossi per il raduno "Giovani Talenti" del Mountain Bike, in programma martedì 26 e mercoledì 27 luglio a Rovereto (Trento). "Queste convocazioni sono il frutto degli ottimi risultati dei ragazzi e dell'ottimo lavoro di tutto il team, in particolare del nostro presidente Felice Gimondi, che crede in questo progetto e ci permetterà di rafforzare ulteriormente lo junior team nel 2012", ha commentato Andrea Ferrero, manager dello Junior Team.
